  1. Inspired by the children's book Whimsy's Heavy Things by Julie Kraulis experiment with extended metaphor by writing a story in a similar vein, doesn't have to be for children. Use some of your 5 words.
  2. Inspired by the children's book The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, use the colour you chose and build a story around colour's perspective - could be related to a person, mood, motif related to shades of that colour and so on...
  3. Make two columns, 1 for everyday objects, and 1 for big concepts, ideas, values. Use your 5 Zine words as jumping off points (synonyms, antonyms, etc) Choose 1 from each column and create a  metaphor, then extend it. For example, Apathy is a pebble...​
